Barbara became the owner of Dior Bridal Salon in 1980 after successfully managing the store in the ten years prior. Her goal was to offer beautiful designer wedding dresses at a reasonable price, all while providing a fun and memorable experience! She sold Stevie Wonder's first wife a wedding dress, and got to attend the wedding, too! When you visit, you’ll notice her doing a little bit of everything – whether it be upstairs sewing or downstairs helping brides, or even gardening outside. Barbara says that owning your own business for nearly 50 years can be challenging at times, but it feels worth it every time she sees a glowing bride standing on the pedestal. Her loves outside of Dior include cold glasses of Sauvignon Blanc, playing in her women’s golf group, and spending time with her grandchildren. Barbara celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary in November of 2019.
Kimberly, store manager
Kimberly, Barbara’s daughter, has been working at Dior since she was thirteen. After nearly 40 years of selling wedding dresses, she is one of the most experienced consultants in the industry! Growing up around wedding dresses, Kimberly knows everything there is to know about different fabrics, designers, and customizations. Due to her expansive knowledge on all our gowns, she is known for picking “the one” for her brides on the first try! She travels every season to bridal shows with Barbara to pick the most timeless, beautiful dresses to stock Dior. Her favorite part of being a consultant is how the same dress can look so different on different people! All three of her daughters have worked at Dior at some point in their lives. Family is number one for her. Her interests outside of Dior include crafting, traveling and golfing. In the summer she loves drinking wine and eating great food outside with her neighbors. Her oldest daughter is getting married in June of 2024 and her 2nd daughter is planning a 2025 wedding!
Riley, bridal consultant
Riley became a bridal consultant at Dior in 2016 because she loved seeing all the beautiful dresses and wanted to help brides make an important life decision! Her favorite wedding dresses are simple, but with a bit of sparkle --think Cinderella meets today's trends! She enjoys being a bridal consultant because she loves to be a part of such a special moment in people's lives. “Brides will always remember their wedding gown and their experience picking it out. How lucky am I to be a part of that?”. Riley says seeing a bride in their dream gown, feeling beautiful and happy, is truly the best. Her advice for new brides is to enjoy the process and have some fun too! Riley graduated from the University of Michigan – Dearborn, and is now a second grade reacher. She married the love of her life June 2023.
Catherine, bridal consultant
Catherine joined Dior this past summer because she loves the bridal industry and has a passion for helping women find the perfect dress for that important milestone in their lives. She has several years of experience working with brides. In fact her very first job was at a bridal shop! Catherine graduated from U of M Dearborn and currently works for a school district while working part time at Dior. During her free time, Catherine likes to spend time with her family, likes to read and watch movies. Her advice to brides is to be open to try on different styles. Looking for your gown should be a fun pleasant experience and what better reason to come to Dior Bridal Salon, a reputable boutique that has been in business for over 40 years!
Shell, bridal consultant
Shell joined Dior in summer 2018, but she has worked with brides for 30 years helping them find the perfect dress. Shell started out as a seamstress, but soon found that she loved helping women find a great dress. She helped her first bride find her dress in 1988 and has been assisting in the pursuit of the perfect dress ever since! Her process starts with finding the perfect silhouette style for each person, then finding the details that make the dress reflect the personality of the bride wearing it. “To me, it is a blend of dress science and personal creativity” -- if you want a dress that feels like it was made for you, ask for Shell! The most rewarding part of being a bridal consultant to Shell is seeing the bride confident and smiling as she steps into the dress, looking and feeling her best.

Irina is one of the most experienced seamstresses in the World with experience altering European and Middle Eastern dresses along with her time in the United States! Irina has been a seamstress for over 30 years, joining Dior 5 years ago. She truly makes all the magic happen with bridal gowns! Once you find the perfect dress you may need some touch-ups here and there to make it fit just right. Luckily for our Dior brides, Irina is a major perfectionist – she won’t put your dress down until she knows it is absolutely perfect for you! She is originally from Azerbaijan, on the Caspian Sea and has a beautiful Russian accent! When she isn’t crafting the perfect fit, Irina loves to play with her dogs and bake for her family!
